Many anime lovers were heartbroken when Bleach was canceled. Bleach is a Japanese anime television series based on Tite Kubo’s original manga series of the same name. It was produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Noriyuki Abe. The series aired on TV Tokyo from October 2004 to March 2012, spanning 366 episodes. The story follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki after he obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper.

It is unclear as to why Bleach was canceled but is anticipated that it was due to the low ratings and the air slot was handed to Naruto, hat isn’t stopping Studio Pierrot from reviving it and finally adapting the manga’s last arc dabbled, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

In the pilot episode of Bleach;

Ichigo Kurosaki is a 15-year-old-boy who has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female Soul Reaper AKA Shinigami named Rukia Kuchiki. Rukia gets injured during battle against a Hollow (Soul eating spirit) and to save his family, Rukia is forced to transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. Rukia is later arrested by her superiors from the soul society, who explain that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and that Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. For committing an abomination, Rukia is sentence to death, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world.
