Biographer Tom Bower — who wrote “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors” — told the media (Page Six) in an exclusive interview that he “absolutely” believes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their most recent portraits to humiliate the royal family.
“It was all about, we’re back now on course to build Brand Meghan and the book, the Netflix series, the podcast,” he told the media.
This was after the Royals taking a new official family Portrait that excluded the couple. The portrait features King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla Parker-Bowles, alongside the heir to the throne, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton.
King Charles was officially proclaimed as the United Kingdom’s reigning monarch on September 10 in a televised ceremony. The Accession Council made the official proclamation of King Charles in the state apartments of St. James’s Palace in London with Camilla, Queen Consort and Prince William, in his first official role as the Prince of Wales.
The picture which excluded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was taken on the eve of the Queen’s funeral when the Royal family hosted a grand reception for all the world leaders who arrived for the Queen’s funeral.
On Monday, photographer Misan Harriman released two photos taken during Markle and Harry’s trip to the United Kingdom right before the Queen’s passing on Sept. 8. In one photo, the couple stood close as they held hands moments before the opening of the @OneYoungWorld.
