The Brazilian football great Pelé is receiving palliative care after he stopped responding to chemotherapy treatment for colon cancer, the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S Paulo has reported.
Football legend Pele has been ‘moved into palliative care’ and is ‘no longer responding to chemotherapy’, according to Brazilian outlet Folha.
Pele has reportedly been moved to palliative care in hospital as the Brazilian legend is no longer responding to chemotherapy on his cancer.
Before Brazil’s match against Cameroon at the World Cup on Friday, fans held up a banner with a message of support to the former striker.
