Benon a.k.a Benon Mugumbya is one of the founders of the Swangs Avenue music label which is believed to have also been started alongside Vampino and a one Julius Kyazze.
However, towards the end of last year, Mc kats well known by real names Edwin Katamba came out and expressed his frustrations towards one of the top bosses of the label being Julius Kyazze to whom he referred to as a one greedy person.
According to Mc Kats, he asked Swangs Avenue to help him allow Winne Nwagi perform at one of his foundation’s events and he was charged 2.5million ugandan shillings, a sum he did not expect since he has always done alot for the music label, he therefore expected them to return the favor by allowing Nwagi to perform for free.
Benon Mugumbya, who has for a long time been silent about the beef between kats and julius kyazze, who katamba cursed and exposed in this matter, when asked he said:
“There are things i don’t want to get involved in, because the people involved know the truth. So i dont want to get involved in debates of his word against mine”.
